I think the owners of this site came by our booth at the SEMA show this year. Definitely interesting swap but you would think the guy would have picked a different diesel motor. The added weight of all the component would be a huge hit on your payload as well.

Your doing an engine swap to a Cummins engine I would go for a manual tranny with a diesel swap IMO but then again Ive always had manual transmissions until I bought my Tundra. For reference- even trying to swap. Anyone seen this Tundra or is the owner on this site.

So i figure with the tranny new ecu wiring and engine im looking at about 14000 - 16000 which i could do. The most common Toyota diesel engines that are used in conversions are the 6 cylinder variants offered from 1986-current which are the 12HT 1HZ 1HDT 1HD-FT and the computer controlled 1HD-FTE. If you wanted to do a Diesel swap I recommend using a 1KZ-TE Toyota Diesel engine.
